Shirodhara
Shirodhara
“Experience Shirodhara at Serene Wellness by Perahettiya — a deeply calming Ayurvedic therapy where warm oil flows over the forehead to relax the nervous system and restore mental balance.”
Shirodhara is a classical Ayurvedic therapy in which a continuous stream of warm, herbal-infused oil is gently poured over the forehead, focusing on the area traditionally known as the ajna marma (energy point). This steady flow creates a deeply meditative state, helping to quiet the mind and support nervous system regulation.
In Ayurveda, Shirodhara is used to balance mental and emotional disturbances by calming excess activity in the mind. The gentle, rhythmic nature of the treatment encourages deep relaxation, helping the body shift into a restorative state. At Serene Wellness by Perahettiya, Shirodhara is performed in a serene environment using oils selected according to Ayurvedic principles to support overall wellbeing.
